Training New Farmers
Our internship program is designed to train new farmers on how to run their own sustainable farms.
We have space for two interns every spring who work side by side with the owners Ayse and Jens Eller and learn every aspect of what it takes to run a small organic family farm.
The internship period begins in Early April and ends at the end of October.
The interns get training on seed starting, planting, weed management, harvesting, cover cropping, greenhouse management, and pastured livestock. In addition we will share our knowledge in making value added products and our marketing program.
To further their knowledge, the interns can borrow reference books and DVD’s from our large library. At the end of their stay, most interns will have a comprehensive knowledge of running their own sustainable farm operation. If you are interested in applying for one of these positions email Ayse. firstname.lastname@example.org
